Goryokaku Park (Hakodate)

Location 44 Goryokaku-cho, Hakodate, Hokkaido
Features A star-shaped fort designated as a Special Historic Site. Approximately 1,500 Yoshino cherry trees bloom here. From the adjacent Goryokaku Tower, you can look down at the breathtaking star shape outlined in pink. The night illumination is spectacular, making the star shape float in the dark.

Matsumae Park (Matsumae)

Location Matsushiro, Matsumae, Matsumae District, Hokkaido
Features One of the "Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots in Japan." Around 10,000 cherry trees of 250 varieties are planted around Matsumae Castle. Since there are many early-blooming and late-blooming varieties, visitors can enjoy blossoms for about a month. It is considered a sacred place for sakura in Hokkaido.

Maruyama Park (Sapporo)

Location Miyagaoka, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido
Features A classic spot long loved by Sapporo residents. Along with the adjacent Hokkaido Shrine, about 160 Yoshino and Ezo-yama cherry trees bloom. It is a local tradition to enjoy "Genghis Khan" (grilled mutton) under the blossoms, a true sign of spring in Sapporo.

Shizunai Nijukken Road (Shinhidaka)

Location Shizunai Tahara / Shizunai Misono, Shinhidaka, Hidaka District, Hokkaido
Features A magnificent 7km-long straight road lined with cherry trees, selected as one of "Japan's Top 100 Roads." The name comes from the road width of "Nijukken" (about 36m). About 2,200 Ezo-yama cherry trees create a dynamic pink tunnel that is uniquely Hokkaido in scale.

Hokkaido Shrine (Sapporo)

Location 474 Miyagaoka, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido
Features The main Shinto shrine in Hokkaido. With about 1,100 cherry trees and 120 plum trees, visitors can witness the rare sight of cherry and plum blossoms blooming simultaneously. The solemn shrine architecture combined with soft pink blossoms offers a highly dignified atmosphere.

Hakodate Park (Hakodate)

Location 17 Aoyagi-cho, Hakodate, Hokkaido
Features Opened in the Meiji era, this park is located on high ground. About 400 cherry trees bloom with the Tsugaru Strait and Mt. Hakodate in the background. It features a retro amusement park, and during the season, lanterns and food stalls create a festive atmosphere.

Asahiyama Park (Asahikawa)

Location Kuranuma, Higashiasahikawa-cho, Asahikawa, Hokkaido
Features Located next to the famous Asahiyama Zoo. About 2,300 Ezo-yama cherry trees paint the entire mountain pink. It offers a wonderful panoramic view of Asahikawa city and is the representative sakura spot of the northern Hokkaido area.

Moerenuma Park (Sapporo)

Location 1-1 Moerenuma-koen, Higashi-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido
Features An art park designed by sculptor Isamu Noguchi. The "Sakura Forest" contains about 1,900 Ezo-yama cherry trees. The contrast between geometric monuments and natural blossoms offers a modern beauty that differs from traditional viewing spots.

Tomei Park (Bibai)

Location Tomei-cho, Bibai, Hokkaido
Features One of the top sakura spots in the Sorachi region. Known as the northernmost habitat for Yoshino cherry trees in Japan. From the hilltop "Space Observatory," you can enjoy a vast panorama of the Ishikari Plain along with the blossoms at your feet.

Shizunai River (Shinhidaka)

Location Shizunai, Shinhidaka, Hidaka District, Hokkaido
Features A scenic spot along the Shizunai River embankment. Located near the famous Nijukken Road, about 1,000 trees bloom along the river flow. It is a relaxing place for a stroll while listening to the sound of the river.
