Miharu Takizakura (Miharu)

Location 296 Sakurakubo, Taki, Miharu, Tamura District, Fukushima
Features Counted as one of the "Three Greatest Cherry Trees in Japan," this weeping cherry tree (Beni-shidarezakura) is over 1,000 years old. A National Natural Monument, its branches spread in all directions with pale pink blossoms cascading down like a waterfall. It is a world-class masterpiece that everyone should see at least once.

Tsuruga Castle (Aizuwakamatsu)

Hanamiyama Park (Fukushima City)

Kasumiga-jo Park (Nihonmatsu)

Location 3-chome Kakunai, Nihonmatsu, Fukushima
Features Developed on the ruins of Nihonmatsu Castle and selected as one of the "Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots in Japan." About 2,500 trees bloom here; the name "Kasumiga-jo" (Misty Castle) comes from how the entire castle looks as if it's covered in mist when viewed from afar. The undulating terrain offers varied and scenic views.

Natsui Senbonzakura (Ono)

Features About 1,000 Yoshino cherry trees line both banks of the Natsui River for 5km. Carp streamers (koinobori) flying above the blossoms are a signature spring sight here.

Kaiseizan Park (Koriyama)

Features Home to some of the oldest Yoshino cherry trees in Japan, planted during the Meiji period's Asaka Land Development. About 1,300 trees bloom around the park's large pond. It is the most beloved sakura spot for Koriyama citizens, offering a relaxing environment for walking and viewing.

Kannonji River Sakura Trees (Inawashiro)

Location Kawageta, Inawashiro, Yama District, Fukushima
Features A 1km row of cherry trees along both banks of the Kannonji River near Lake Inawashiro. The contrast between the natural, unpaved riverbanks and the blossoms creates a rustic and beautiful atmosphere. At night, a seven-colored illumination makes for an ethereal viewing experience.

Nicchu Line Weeping Cherry Tree Row (Kitakata)
