Akagi Nanmen Senbonzakura (Maebashi)

Location 2511-2 Naegashima-machi, Maebashi, Gunma
Features Selected as one of the "Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots in Japan," this is Gunma's iconic cherry blossom tunnel. About 1,000 Yoshino trees over 60 years old bloom along a 1.3km stretch. The contrast with the pink moss (shibazakura) at the adjacent "Miyagi Millennium Forest" is breathtaking, offering a full immersion in spring colors.

Takasaki Castle Ruins Park (Takasaki)

Kezoji Park (Isesaki)

Features A vast comprehensive park featuring an amusement park and sports facilities. About 1,000 cherry trees bloom first, followed closely by 5,000 azaleas. The "carpet of cherry blossoms" viewed from the giant ferris wheel is a spectacular sight unique to this amusement park setting.

Sakurayama Park (Fujioka)

Features Famous for its 7,000 "Winter Cherry Trees" (Fuyu-zakura), designated as a National Scenic Spot and Natural Monument. In spring, 3,000 Yoshino trees also bloom, dyeing the entire mountain pink. It is a rare destination where you can enjoy cherry blossoms twice a year—once in spring and once in late autumn/winter.

Tatebayashi Castle Ruins (Tatebayashi)

Additionally, the nearby Tsuruuda River hosts a world-famous display of thousands of carp streamers (koinobori) flying among the cherry blossoms.

Ikaho Onsen (Shibukawa)

Features In this famous hot spring town, you can enjoy Yoshino cherries followed by double-flowered varieties (Yaezakura) in higher elevation areas. The trees around the "Shibukawa City Ikaho Rink" at the base of the stone step street are magnificent. It offers a charming blend of hot spring nostalgia and fresh mountain air.

Shikishima Park (Maebashi)

Visitors can enjoy a peaceful time viewing the flowers from a boat or visiting the adjacent rose garden.

Numata Park (Numata)

Features A park built on the ruins of Numata Castle, once the residence of the famous Sanada Clan. The symbol of the park is the "Goten-zakura" (Palace Cherry Tree), said to be over 400 years old. Located on the edge of a river terrace, it offers great views and a dignified atmosphere rich in history.

Myogi Shrine (Tomioka)

Location 1 Myogi, Myogi-machi, Tomioka, Gunma
Features Situated at the eastern foot of Mt. Myogi, one of Japan's "Three Most Unusual Scenic Spots." The blossoms decorate the grand shrines and torii gates, creating a mysterious contrast between the rugged, oddly-shaped rocky peaks and the elegant flowers. It is a serene "power spot" for flower viewing.

Obata Castle Ruins / Kanra Town (Kanra)

Location Obata area, Kanra District, Gunma
Features An area known as a former castle town with ties to the Oda Clan. A beautiful row of cherry trees lines the Ogawa-zeki, a historic irrigation canal. During the annual "Warrior Procession," armored warriors march under the blossoms, making visitors feel as if they have traveled back to the Warring States period.
