Takada Castle Ruins Park (Joetsu)

Location 44-1 Honjo-cho, Joetsu, Niigata
Features Recognized as one of the "Three Greatest Night Sakura Views in Japan." This was the former site of the castle belonging to Matsudaira Tadateru, the sixth son of Tokugawa Ieyasu. About 4,000 Yoshino trees bloom here, and the sight of the three-story turret reflected in the moat under the glow of 3,000 lanterns is breathtaking. The illuminated "Sakura Road" tunnel is also a must-see.

Yukyu-zan Park (Nagaoka)

Location 804-5 Oyama-cho, Nagaoka, Niigata
Features Affectionately known as "O-yama" by locals, this is a beloved recreational area. Approximately 2,500 trees, including Yoshino and double-flowered varieties, dye the entire hillside pink. With a local history museum (housed in a castle-style building) and a small zoo, it’s an ideal spot for families to enjoy a full day.

Muramatsu Park (Gosen)

Location 2633 Atagoko, Gosen, Niigata
Features One of the "Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots in Japan." This historic park was established in 1906 to commemorate the Russo-Japanese War. About 3,000 trees bloom here, including the rare "Hosaki-higan-yaezakura" variety. The night-time illumination creates a mystical atmosphere for visitors.

Kajigawa Embankment (Shibata / Seiro)

The vast scale of the pink blossoms against the backdrop of the snow-capped Iide Mountain Range is spectacular and popular for driving.

Fukushimagata Lagoon (Niigata City)

The sight of pink sakura floating in a sea of yellow is a symbol of spring in Niigata. The area is also home to over 220 species of wild birds, offering a refreshing environment for flower viewing.

Yahiko Park (Yahiko)

Features A sprawling 160,000-square-meter park located right next to Yahiko Station. The area around the vermilion "Kangetsu Bridge" is particularly picturesque and popular for photography.

Okozubunsui (Tsubame)
