Himeji Castle

Location 68 Honmachi, Himeji City, Hyogo
Features A UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the "Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots in Japan." Against the backdrop of the brilliant white keep, nicknamed the "White Heron Castle," approximately 1,000 trees including Yoshino and weeping cherry varieties bloom in full glory. Shukugawa Park

Location Shukugawa-cho, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo, etc.
Features A premier flower-viewing spot in the Hanshin area, selected as one of the "Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots in Japan." About 1,660 trees stretch for 2.8 km along the Shukugawa River. The arch of blossoms reflecting on the water, harmonized with the distant Rokko Mountains, creates a refreshing and beautiful landscape.

Kobe City Oji Zoo

Location 3-1 Oji-cho, Nada-ku, Kobe City, Hyogo
Features Known as one of Kobe's leading sakura spots, the zoo is home to about 480 Yoshino cherry trees. A unique feature of this location is the ability to enjoy the blossoms alongside the animals. The "Night Sakura Walk-through," held for only three days, is a popular event where visitors can experience the mystical beauty of illuminated trees.

Akashi Park

Location 1-27 Akashi Koen, Akashi City, Hyogo
Features One of the "Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots in Japan." Centered around the ruins of Akashi Castle, about 1,000 cherry trees bloom here, with the rows surrounding "Gono-ike Pond" being particularly spectacular. Visitors can enjoy the flowers from the water by boat or take in the historic atmosphere with the two remaining turrets (Tatsumi and Hitsujisaru Yagura) in the background.

Sasayama Castle Ruins

Location Kitashin-machi, Tanba-Sasayama City, Hyogo
Features The site of a castle built under the orders of Tokugawa Ieyasu. Approximately 1,000 Yoshino cherry trees surround the moat, and the pink ribbon of blossoms reflecting on the water is a sight to behold. A major highlight is the ability to combine flower viewing with a stroll through the old castle town. The moonlit moat edges, illuminated by traditional lanterns, are exceptionally romantic.

Izushi Castle Ruins

Location Izushi-cho Uchimachi, Toyooka City, Hyogo
Features A symbol of Izushi, known as the "Little Kyoto of Tajima." Cherry blossoms bloom at the castle site where the gate and turrets have been reconstructed, creating a landscape rich in history alongside the "Shinkoro" clock tower, the town's icon. Enjoying a stroll here after tasting the famous Izushi Soba noodles is highly recommended.

Hiokayama Park

Location 1682 Ono, Kakogawa-cho, Kakogawa City, Hyogo
Features One of the largest parks in Kakogawa City, filled with about 1,000 cherry trees. At night, lanterns are lit, making it one of the leading spots in the Higashi-Harima region for nighttime flower viewing. The entire hill, dotted with vast lawns and ancient burial mounds (kofun), turns pink, providing a wonderful sense of openness.

Sumaura Park

Location 5 Ichinotani-cho, Suma-ku, Kobe City, Hyogo
Features Known as the site of the historical "Battle of Ichi-no-Tani." About 3,200 cherry trees bloom on the slopes of Mt. Hachibuse, offering a vivid contrast with the blue Osaka Bay (Suma Sea) below. Viewing the blossoms from the ropeway heading to the mountain top is a luxurious experience unique to Kobe.

Arima Onsen

Location Arima-cho, Kita-ku, Kobe City, Hyogo
Features One of Japan's three oldest hot spring resorts. The weeping cherry trees in the Arima River Riverside Park and the "Ito-zakura" at Zenpuku-ji Temple, which is over 200 years old, are famous. Appreciating the blossoms in a yukata after a soak in the hot springs is a special experience. Due to the higher altitude, the peak season arrives slightly later than in central Kobe.

Tatsuno Park

Location Nakakasumijo, Tatsuno-cho, Tatsuno City, Hyogo
Features A park stretching across the foot of Mt. Keigo, where about 3,000 trees bloom with the Tatsuno Castle ruins in the background. Praised as "3,000 trees at a glance," the entire mountain is painted in pink. With many literary monuments and historical buildings, it is an excellent spot to enjoy spring in a quiet castle town.
