Bizan Park

Location Bizan-cho, Tokushima City, Tokushima
Features A park stretching across the summit of Mt. Bizan, the symbol of Tokushima City. Approximately 1,500 cherry trees color the mountain, and from the observatory, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Tokushima City, the Yoshino River, and even Awaji Island in the distance. You can also view the blossoms while riding the ropeway up, and the combination of the city's night view and illuminated sakura is exceptionally beautiful.

Seibu Park

Location Shoyama, Kamona-cho, Tokushima City, Tokushima
Features Selected as one of the "Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots in Japan." Located on the western side of Mt. Bizan, about 500 Yoshino trees bloom in full glory. With a history of being planted with the goal of becoming the "best sakura in Japan," the dense tunnel of blossoms is breathtaking. It is a beloved spot for flower-viewing parties among locals.

Myokenyama Park (Naruto)

Location Hayashizaki, Muya-cho, Naruto City, Tokushima
Features Located near the summit of Mt. Myoken overlooking Naruto City, this park is home to about 500 scattered cherry trees. The Torii Memorial Museum, built in the shape of a castle, offers a striking harmony with the blossoms. It is a popular local walking course where you can feel the arrival of spring along with the views of the Naruto Strait.

Oyasu Park

Location Handa, Tsurugi Town, Tokushima
Features Situated on a hill overlooking the Handa River, approximately 1,000 cherry trees fill the slopes. The park is equipped with large playground equipment, including a 100-meter roller slide, making it ideal for families. When in full bloom, the entire mountain is dyed pink, creating a spectacular sight.

Hiwasa Castle Ruins

Location Hiwasaura, Minami Town, Kaifu District, Tokushima
Features Cherry blossoms surround the Hiwasa Castle ruins (a mock keep) atop a small hill. The contrast between the white castle walls and the sakura is beautiful, and from the site, you can look out over Ohama Beach—famous for sea turtle nesting—and the port town of Hiwasa. This is a quiet spot unique to southern Tokushima where you can experience both the sea and history.

Iwawaki Park

Location Iwawaki, Hanoura-cho, Anan City, Tokushima
Features Famous for its "Sakura Tunnel," a 400-meter-long row of cherry trees. During the season, the path is illuminated at night, allowing visitors to walk beneath a mystical canopy of flowers. Cherry trees also continue along the nearby Nakagawa River embankment, making this one of the representative sakura spots in the Anan area.

Wakimachi Sensuikyo Bridge Surroundings

Location Wakimachi, Mima City, Tokushima
Features Located along the banks of the Yoshino River, Shikoku's largest river, near the "Sensuikyo" (low-water bridge). In spring, cherry trees line the banks, and the sight of the unique bridge—designed without railings to withstand flooding—paired with the sakura evokes the original, nostalgic landscape of old Awa Province.
