Matsuyama Castle (Shiroyama Park)

Location 1 Marunouchi, Matsuyama City, Ehime
Features One of Japan's "Top 100 Castles" and one of the only 12 castles in the country with an original surviving keep. Standing atop Mt. Katsuyama at 132 meters, the castle tower harmonizes with about 200 trees, including Yoshino cherry and early-blooming Tsubaki-kanzakura. Dogo Park (Yuzuki Castle Ruins)

Location Dogo Koen, Matsuyama City, Ehime
Features Located near the famous Dogo Onsen, this park was once the site of Yuzuki Castle, the residence of the Kono clan during the medieval period. Approximately 160 Yoshino cherry trees bloom along the moats and earthen embankments. Known for housing the official sample tree used for declaring the start of Matsuyama's sakura season, it is an essential stop while exploring the hot spring town.

Hirakiyama Park

Location Ikata, Hakata-cho, Imabari City, Ehime
Features A hilltop park on Hakata Island, located along the scenic Shimanami Kaido cycling route. About 1,000 cherry trees cover the mountain. From the observatory, visitors can view the multi-island beauty of the Seto Inland Sea and the grand bridges, such as the Hakata-Oshima Bridge, through a frame of pink blossoms. The contrast between the blue sea and the sakura is exceptionally beautiful.

Uwajima Castle (Shiroyama Park)

Location 1 Marunouchi, Uwajima City, Ehime
Features The site of Uwajima Castle, built by the master castle architect Todo Takatora. About 450 cherry trees adorn the plazas and the approach leading to the original castle keep. The entire mountain is covered in vegetation designated as a Natural Monument, allowing visitors to enjoy the powerful natural beauty of rare giant trees mixed with delicate blossoms.

Mt. Tomisu (Tomisuyama Park)

Location Yunoki, Ozu City, Ehime
Features Named "Tomisu" because of its resemblance to Mt. Fuji, this hilltop park is filled with about 3,000 cherry trees. The panorama overlooking the Ozu Basin and the meandering Hiji River is its primary attraction. It is also famous as a premier spot for azaleas following the sakura season.

Nofuku Pass

Location Between Akahama-cho and Uwa-cho, Seiyo City, Ehime
Features A winding mountain pass road connecting the Uwa and Akahama districts of Seiyo. Approximately 400 cherry trees are planted along the hairpin turns, offering a spectacular drive with the ripples of the Uwa Sea and its rias coastline in the background. Looking out over the quiet blue sea through the cherry blossoms is a quintessential Ehime landscape.

Bujo Park

Location Fukutake, Saijo City, Ehime
Features Located along the Kamo River, this is one of the prefecture's leading sakura spots with about 1,500 trees. Selected as one of the "Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots in Shikoku," it offers an open location to enjoy hanami while viewing the clear waters of the Kamo River and the majestic Ishizuchi Mountain Range.

Kashima Park

Location Hojo Tsuji, Matsuyama City, Ehime
Features A small island with a circumference of about 1.5 km, located just off the coast of Hojo Port. Accessible by ferry, the island is home to wild deer, allowing visitors to enjoy flower viewing while interacting with the animals. The entire island is part of a National Park, offering a resort-like spring atmosphere surrounded by the calm Seto Inland Sea.

Mt. Sekizen (Sekizenzan)
