Ogi Park

Location 158-4 Ogimachi, Ogi City, Saga
Features One of the "Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots in Japan." This famous garden was built by the first and second lords of the Ogi Domain, Nabeshima Motoshige and Naoyoshi. About 3,000 cherry trees fill the park, and at night, visitors can enjoy the mystical reflection of blossoms on the pond. It is a perfect place to enjoy an elegant hanami experience along with the local specialty, "Ogi Yokan" (sweet bean jelly).

Saga Castle Park

Features The former site of Saga Castle, the residence of the Nabeshima clan (lords of 360,000 koku). This urban oasis offers a spacious lawn where visitors can relax and enjoy the flowers while reflecting on the history of the Bakumatsu and Meiji Restoration periods.

Mifuneyama Rakuen

Location 4100 Takeo, Takeo-cho, Takeo City, Saga
Features A stunning garden built over three years as a villa for Nabeshima Shigeyoshi, the 28th lord of the Takeo Domain. The view of approximately 2,000 cherry trees blooming against the backdrop of the rugged cliffs of Mt. Mifune is like a landscape painting come to life. Its nighttime illumination is said to be the largest in Kyushu, boasting an overwhelming scale.

Asahigaoka Park

Location Takatsuhara, Kashima City, Saga
Features Established on the ruins of Kashima Castle, the residence of the Kashima-Nabeshima clan. Known as a "sacred site for hanami," it is said to be the first place in Kyushu to have held nighttime illuminations for sakura (dating back to the Meiji era). The pairing of the "Akamon" (red castle gate) and the blossoms is full of traditional charm.

Yamato Chuo Park

Baba-no-Yamazakura

Karatsu Castle
